Farm Safety Notice

Confirmed guests must follow the current arrival and safety instructions supplied by the owners.

General farm safety

Remain in permitted guest areas. Do not approach livestock, machinery, work areas, fences, crops or closed gates without permission. Wear suitable footwear and use a torch after dark.

Dam and water

Farm dams are natural, unsupervised environments with changing depth, slippery edges and submerged hazards. There is no lifeguard. Never swim, fish or enter the dam unless the owners have explicitly confirmed permission and current rules.

Children

Children require continuous, active adult supervision, especially near water, fires, the attic, steps, animals and farm operations. Ask about attic access and age suitability before booking.

Fireplace and braai

Use fire only in designated facilities and never leave it unattended. Keep children away, extinguish all embers fully, and obey seasonal fire restrictions. Do not light fires in high wind or outside approved areas.

Pets

Pets are not permitted. This protects the farm’s sheep, wildlife and natural environment.
